How does an adjustable piston stool/ office chair work? - adjustable chair
Hello,
Can someone tell me, or better yet, tell me a link that shows the plunger in an office chair, as you adjust the height? I need for my course design school product.
Thank you.

It is a gas cylinder, compressed set an internal piston, gas at a higher pressure than it has weight. A clamp to maintain the friction of the piston rod in position of the selector is high. A mild spring gives a little cushion when a person sits on the chair. If the chair is too low, then press a lever to tighten the friction, so that the piston in place, lift the chair against the weight of the chair. If a person sits in the chair this time, the gas pressure on the piston is not sufficient, and falls to the chair.
